Welcome to Mellette County
The Mellette County Courthouse is located at 321 E 4th Street in White River, South Dakota. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday. We are closed for lunch from 12:00-1:00. This web site includes information about each department in the county and the services provided by each, as well as important information pertaining to the goings on in the courthouse.

The Treasurer’s and Register of Deeds offices will be closed May 14th & 15th for workshops in Pierre.
The Treasurer’s office will be closed June 5, 2025.
