Starting Monday, February 9, 2026, the courthouse will be open 8am-4pm with no closure for lunch.

The Mellette County Courthouse is located at 321 E 4th Street in White River, South Dakota. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday. We are closed for lunch from 12:00-1:00. This web site includes information about each department in the county and the services provided by each, as well as important information pertaining to the goings on in the courthouse.
